Answers to Frequently-asked Questions about Manuka-based woundcare products

8 Easy Application Steps using Gentell Manuka Honey

Step 1

Wash hands thoroughly, put on gloves.

Step 2

Cleanse the wound and skin with sterile saline, sterile water, or other appropriate wound cleanser.

Step 3

Gently dry the skin around the wound with a dry, sterile gauze.

Step 4

Protect the skin around the wound. Apply a thin layer of Manuka Honey Skin Protectant Cream as a protective skin barrier.

Step 5

Choose a Gentell Manuka Honey dressing that is appropriate for the amount of drainage.

Step 6

Apply the appropriate Gentell Manuka Honey dressing to fit the wound. Excess dressing can fold into wound or allow to overlap the periwound area.

Step 7

If not using a Manuka Honey Fiber dressing, apply a secondary absorbent dressing as needed.

Step 8

Dressing change: Gently remove dressing as needed. Moistening dressing with saline can ease removal.
