Gentell Wound Certification

Gentell’s comprehensive Wound Certification Course is designed for healthcare professionals seeking to enhance their wound care knowledge.

Those who successfully complete the course and exam earn the Gentell Wound Certified (GWC) credential. Successful completion of the course exam is considered 90% or higher. Nurses receive 4 nursing contact hours after completing the course exam and submitting the course evaluation.

This is a self-paced, online course that covers critical elements of the wound healing environment, a thorough look at the four phases of wound healing, and a close look at pressure injuries/ulcers, vascular, diabetic and neuropathic and many atypical wounds. This course also addresses various treatment modalities, best practices, and appropriate dressing selection. In addition, the course includes pressure injury/ulcer risk assessment and regulatory guidelines related to chronic wounds in the long-term care environment.
